(d) to turn (an object) through a series of angles (so that it faces in all directions successively).
To cause (a pivot) to turn in a socket, or sim.; (fig., pass. of an outcome, decision, etc.) to depend (on), turn or hinge (upon); (rarely act., tr.) to determine or sway (the direction of events).
(pass. in middle sense, cf. uersor) To go to and fro, move about (in a place). (b) (of affairs, etc.) to be involved (in difficulties). (c) to be active, occupy oneself (in a sphere). (d) (usu. leg., of factors) to be involved (in a case).
