(c) to summon back (a defendant) to court; (also, a case). (d) to reinvite to a meal. (e) to reconvene (a meeting). (f) (transf.) to recall (a speaker, speech) after a digression.
To call back (a person) to repeat his performance (esp. runners in a disputed race); also, to call for (a performance) to be repeated. (b) (as a sign of favour) to call back (actor or sim.) for an encore; also, to encore (lines).
