To direct the course of (a moving object) towards a specified goal; (refl., pass., or intr.) to betake oneself in a given direction. (b) to direct with hostile intent (a weapon against a person, etc.).
To cause (a stationary object) to face in a specified direction. (b) (pass., topog.) to face in a given direction (see also CONVERSVS). (c) to turn (one's eyes or face) towards a given object. (d) (foll. by in se, ad se) to turn (other people's glances, etc.) towards oneself, attract the notice of (persons); (also without in se).
